The maximum scan gap parameter defines the size of small gaps in detections that can be ignored. For instance if a tag is gone but is seen after one or two blank scans then it has been only away for a few tenths of a second. This is most likely because the tag was at the edge of the field where the signal is weakest.
The factory setting of the max gap parameter is zero which means every gap will be reported. The last number on each line is the gap size before the tag was detected.
max gap is 0 scans

With a gap of 5 the small records are integrated into one larger detection record that describes the same event without small gaps.
